The cache was reported by a local villager and the ANA acted quickly to prevent enemy fighters from employing the explosives against innocent civilians.

The cache consisted of six rocket propelled grenades, six anti-personnel mines and ten containers containing homemade explosives. The explosives were destroyed by a controlled detonation on site.

The ANA also discovered a route and tunnel leading to the cache. The ANA are conducting an investigation to determine the insurgents responsible for the accumulation of explosives.
