US MILITARY PARTICIPATION IN DUBAI AIR SHOW 2009

SOUTHWEST ASIA – The U.S. military will join the international aviation community at the 2009 Dubai Air Show at Dubai International Airport located in the United Arab Emirates.

United States manned and unmanned aircraft are scheduled to be on static display and performing aerial demonstrations for the show scheduled to start Nov. 15.

This year's show will also feature the first-appearance of the F-22 Raptor in the Gulf region. The fifth-generation fighter is scheduled to perform an aerial demonstration to showcase the latest in combat aviation technology. The U.S. Navy F-18 E/F Super Hornet is also scheduled to perform an aerial demonstration.

The air show flight line will also feature U.S. military static displays including the U.S. Air Force's F-15 Eagle, E-3 Sentry, C-130 Hercules, MQ-1 Predator, the U.S. Navy's F-18 E/F Super Hornet, E-2C Hawkeye, and a U.S. Army Shadow UAV.

Participation in the Dubai Air Show is one way the U.S. and its Coalition partners work together to promote security, stability and mutual interests in the Gulf region.
