Staff Sgt. David Popp, a security forces Airman assigned to the Zabul Provincial Reconstruction Team, meets with Afghan prison officials during a mentoring session, Oct. 28. Sgt. Popp, who is deployed to the region from Creech Air Force Base, Nev., works with the guards, helping them become better at handling prisoners within the compound. The mission is just one of many the PRT takes on, which can range from foot patrols to working with government officials.
