On Sept. 11, 2009, five Soldiers of the 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Oregon National Guard, received Presidential Unit Citations. First Sgt. Scott Davis, Sgt. 1st Class Christopher Johnson, Staff Sgt. Stuart Peterson, Sgt. Alex Starelli and Staff Sgt. Jesse Sapp of 2nd Platoon, Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 162nd Infantry, received the citation for extraordinary heroism in military operations against an armed enemy from Nov. 3, 2004, to Nov. 24, 2004.
