A simulated improvised explosive device explodes during a mass trauma training exercise at Medina Wasl, a training village at the National Training Center on Fort Irwin, Calif. The 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment's new Mechanized Infantry Battalion will be set to use hybrid threat warfare on rotational training units in the near future. Hybrid threat warfare will employ conventional military assets with insurgency operations.
