Three of our finest mechanics from the 590th Quartermaster Company motorpool, 398th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 1st Sustainment Brigade, stand tall and ready to assume the next higher level of responsibility that comes with the rank in which they hold. From left to right are recently promoted Spc. Paula Salandy, a power-generation equipment repairer and native of Port Spain, Trinidad; Cpl. Steven Mitchell, a Quartermaster and chemical equipment repair specialist and native of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; and Sgt. Doyle Coffman an A/C utilities equipment repair specialist and native of Tucson, Ariz. The main focus of these Soldiers is to provide maintenance on the unit and equipment located at each of the eight SLCR, or Shower, Laundry, and Clothing Renovation, sites. Each of the Soldiers, regardless of the frustrations of being away from family and loved ones, consistently works hard to ensure mission success. The 590th Quartermaster Company is currently serving a 15-month tour of duty in support of Multi-National Division - Baghdad.
