Manas Air Base Provides Aid to Earthquake Victims

Lt. Col. Tim Bejian, 376th Air Expeditionary Wing chaplain, writes a message on a box of humanitarian aid intended for survivors of an Oct. 5, 2008 earthquake in southern Kyrgyzstan. Airmen from Manas Air Base sent a flatbed truck of aid, Oct. 8, 2008, that included pallets of food rations, bottled water, surplus military cold weather gear and more than 120 boxes containing 3,000 pounds of adult and children's winter clothing, blankets and toys. A call for personal donations resulted in more than 40 Airmen donating their own blankets they deployed to Manas AB with.
