In today's hi-tech Army, soldiers still use weather balloons to monitor weather conditions. Soldiers prepare the balloon and inflate it with helium. A weather sensing instrument package and a parachute are attached. The antenna is adjusted and the balloon released. Soldiers monitor the data. Artillery guns firing - the weather info helps their aim. Interview with Army Sergeant Emeka Watson, Meterorologist (from Tulsa, OK). Produced by Sergeant Kent Taylor, 196th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment.
