KABUL, Afghanistan — An International Security Assistance Force service member was killed, Sept. 10, in an insurgent attack while on patrol in eastern Afghanistan.
"This loss is tragic, and my heart goes out to the family and friends of those who grieve this dedicated service member," said Brig. Gen. Eric Tremblay, ISAF spokesperson. "We honor his immense sacrifice, and we renew our commitment to the Afghan people in their struggle to determine their own future."
