Iraqi national policemen from 5th Brigade, 2nd National Police Division, working with Soldiers from Company B, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad, provide security during the Saydiyah Fish Market's ribbon-cutting ceremony, Feb. 9. Senior leaders from 1st BCT, 4th Inf. Div., MND-B, attended the ceremony on Cherry Street in southern Baghdad's Rashid District with their Iraqi security forces partners to reopen the fish market that serves the entire country of Iraq. "We are priming the pump to bring a better life back to the Cherry Street Market," said Col. Ted Martin, commander for the 1st BCT, 4th Inf. Div., MND-B, who hails from Jacksonville Beach, Fla. "The only reason we can do a project like this is because of the increase in security in Saydiyah. It was a hot spot for insurgent activity, but now all the sects get along to live together peacefully."
